2024 ASCE New Orleans Branch President’s Medal Award winner
Congratulations to the 2024 ASCE New Orleans Branch President’s Medal Award winner, Adeleigh Smith, P.E. The President’s Medal is given to a person selected solely by the President to acknowledge this person’s contributions to the Branch.
Adeleigh is a business oriented Professional Engineer (PE) in Louisiana who graduated from Louisiana State University in May of 2020 with a Civil Engineering BS. She has over four years of experience in facets including design and modeling of flood control structures, wharves, platforms, gantry crane platforms, access bridges, steel, beams, slabs, piles, sheet pile connections, and other structural elements. She has also worked on roadway design, corridor modeling, residential inspection, and estimating. Additional to technical engineering, She has been a project manager and deputy project manager on projects ranging from $500,000 in construction cost to $16,000,000 in estimated construction cost. She is also a client account manager for one of AECOM’s core clients in the Gulf-South region and helps with various business development activities and pursuits daily. In addition, she sees the importance of being involved in local professional organizations and charitable ones as well; She holds multiple board positions for both categories, including Director At-Large in the New Orleans Chapter of ASCE.
Her outstanding contributions and unwavering commitment have truly set her apart as a deserving recipient of the President’s Medal award.
