LOUISIANA CIVIL ENGINEERING CONFERENCE AND SHOW

History:

 

The Louisiana Civil Engineering Conference (LCECS) and show started in 1991 as Spring Conference of American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE) Louisiana Section which was annually held in April every year. At that time ASCE Louisiana Section Spring conference was rotated between Baton Rouge, Lafayette, New Orleans and Shreveport. ASCE New Orleans Branch started LCECS in 1992 during September. Later on American Concrete Institute (ACI) also became cosponsor of LCECS.  ASCE New Orleans Branch and ACI Louisiana Chapter host a 2-day Annual Louisiana Civil Engineering Conference Show (LCECS) in New Orleans. Over the years LCECS conference has become more popular and grown, and now it is attended by 600-plus attendees and 60-plus vendors every year.
